Source Authentication II
Email the way it was designed
When Jonathan B. Postel in 1982 released RFC 821, the foundations of email were cast. The great founder of so much of the Internet that we know today imagined a worldwide computer network that would carry electronic messages vast distances in seconds.
He imagined a world where people could share information, learn, teach, grow and prosper. All this in a word was email. Email became the backbone of business communication and a daily part of our lives.
Enter Spam
Those that use the Internet for malicious purposes grew in numbers and today their actions cost businesses over $10 billion dollars a year, and the real costs cannot be fully counted.
Source Authentication I - Spam Free Email
In 2003 our founder created a system in which email could be used without spam. It was a simple approach with no complex filters or systems to maintain. The solution was to send an authorization request to unknown email addresses asking for a simple reply back (confirmation).
Source Authentication II - Spam Free Email - Made Easier
In 2007, an updated exciting technology now exists. Based on Source Authentication, email would remain spam free, yet the reply/send requirement was now optional. If activated, the recipient would not have to do anything to get the email through. Finally, after nearly 25 years people can use Email the way Jon had intended: with no restrictions, and no spam!
